After reading many other complaints regarding this issue I'm disappointed Ford did not issue a recall.
Instead, they did an "extended warranty" that ended in 2015.
It is now 2019 and this problem has just happened to my car.
I have an appointment tomorrow with my garage to look at it.
Not sure it would help to complain to Ford at this point.
Anyone else have a thought or what did you do?
Update from Oct 29, 2019: To update my complaint....
After taking the car to my mechanic, it was discovered my selector level cable had worked it way our of adjustment.
The trouble code found was P1702 transmission range sensors (TRS) circuit intermittent fault.
I was sure it was the throttle body since so many others reported the same experience of loss of power.
This was a quick fix and too expenseive $195 which included the diagnostic testing of $130.
So in the end, I was pleased/relieved.
