The contact owns a 2011 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving 60 mph, the tailgate ajar warning light illuminated. The contact pulled over to the side of the road and checked and saw that the tailgate was closed. The contact opened and then closed the tailgate, re-entered the vehicle however, the warning light reappeared. The contact stated that occasionally, the tailgate would unlock inadvertently. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage is 180,000.

The contact owns a 2011 Ford Edge. The contact stated that the lift-gate lock malfunctioned. As a result, all of the lights in the vehicle were erroneously illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who advised the contact that there were no recalls related to the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the problem. The failure mileage was 39,000.
