In Oct 2016 we had a brake problem on our 2011 Ford Edge ! While at our mechanics he asked me if I knew there was a recall on my throttle body ! He told me to call the Ford Dealer and set up an appointment to take it in ! I did and received a letter from Fords Customer Satisfaction Program explaining the throttle body problem ! I made an appt. on Oct 28th to take it in ! I told him our mechanic told us about it when he fixed our brakes. He told me at Ford that if we replaced what ever it was in the braking system , we might have to pay for the throttle ! I told him no I wont and fix the throttle, which he did ! I asked him what did that have to do with the throttle ! Anyway we now have the check engine light coming on and the vehicle kind of chokes when we are at a stop and try to take off like a hesitation and then it drives . Reminds me of the old carborators we used to have in cars. I don't trust the head of the service dept. where I bought it and will take it to a different dealer from now on ! It sounds like the problem you are talking about . This Customer Satisfaction Program will be in effect until September 30, 2017 according to my letter . 16B23. Now I'm wondering if I need to take it to a different dealer and have it looked at ? If it is bad again will they replace it a second time ?

My check engine light comes and goes ! I have had it checked through my mechanic and says nothing to worry about ! Nothing shows up on his equipment ! My Ford Dealer when I went in for a recall on something else quoted me 150.00 to check it out ! I asked If my display can be reset and was told no ! I think my dealer is dishonest and will never take my vehicle to them except for recalls ! It makes you nervous and they know it ! Mine actually started coming on after they did a recall on a part !

The check engine light constantly turns on, have taken it to get fixed, on the machine it comes up as nothing is wrong with the car, light is turned off and it goes back on for no apparent reason.
