Problem began in Aug 2014, paid to have part replaced. Dealer did not advise that this was a common problem. Problem has reoccurred, needs to be fixed. Will probably trade for new car, NOT FORD! After research have discovered that there was a recall but because my car was made at some unknown plant it was eliminated from the recall. Also have learned that there has been numerous lawsuits filled.

Yesterday while driving in the city, my car started to chug, then would not accelerate, then stopped running. An alert appeard that said "Low engine oil pressure" I was unable to move my vehicle, and a good Samaritan pushed me to the side of the road. As I waited for a tow, my car completely died-nothing would turn on / off, and I heard a humming coming from the car (similar to a computer updating sound). In September of this year--about one month ago, I had similar issue with the car chugging, not accelerating, and then stopped running. The alert at that time said "AWD fail" and a wrench light came on. Issue was fixed at dealer, and was told it was a throttle body failure. This time, symptoms were the same, but a different alert was activated. FORD needs to investigate this issue--it is very dangerous to be driving and then all of a sudden the car stops in the middle of the street. Thankfully I wasn't on the expressway and didn't have my children in the car. Wondering if there are similar issues and / or any other information regarding this vehicle. I will say that it is 5 years old, has 52k miles on it, and we have had more problems with this car than any other.

Already a lawsuit filed by multiple people on the water pump failing. Thankfully this didn’t cause an accident. However, this could cause an accident and could end up fatal. Ford should be warning people that this could become an issue to owners and do something to fix the issue.
