My husband and I were driving on the highway when the check engine light started flashing and it seems like the car was struggling; shaking and making weird, loud rumbling noises. It lasted for about 30 seconds. Then, the car kinda snapped out of it, but the check engine light stayed on (solid light) for about a week. When we took the car to our mechanic, they could not find a diagnosis so they turned the light off. It has not come back on as of today.

I wouldn't have been so angry if this didn't happen 4 months ago & was told at the time "it will be covered under warranty & may never happen again"... Now I'm told it will not be under warranty (and never would have been) and the part isn't available for at least 6 to 8 weeks.

This is getting old. This is the second day in one week where the throttle body is shorting out & sticking. My wife was driving & it died multiple times on her 7 mile commute to work. I called the dealer to check on the back-ordered part - it will be at least 6 weeks before the part is in. So what am I supposed to do? Rent a car for the next 6 weeks?!

I have seen multiple complaints on here about the AWD and wrench light going on causing the car to stall out. This was happening to me several times. I almost got hit once by another vehicle. I was out of town the last time it happened at midnight the night of my son's wedding. It was found to be that the Throttle body was defective.

It was repaired by the out of town dealership. It was not under warranty anymore. Am hoping the problem does not happen again. Called the Ford Motor company and was told that there are no recalls for this part. Wondering how many accidents or deaths have to occur before a recall is done. I just want my money back for this frequently defaulted part. I mostly don't want anyone else hurt.
