In 2011 Ford Edge Limited, the sync/radio is centered in a assembly panel that runs from directly under the dash down to the cup holders and center console. Included in this assembly was a touch sensor shaped like a red triangle that, when pressed, was to turn hazards (or flashers) on and off. For no known reason (certainly not overuse, as I don't think I had EVER used them), my hazards turned themselves on.

At first, I pushed the button and they went off, but 10 to 20 minutes later they turned themselves back on. Parked for a while after happened the first time and returned several hours later to flashing lights on my parked car. Pushed multiple times and eventually got them off. Parked car for overnight, and awoke to a dead battery the next morning. Made an appointment to get fixed, but couldn't get in for several days with dealer and quickly got progressively worse. I was forced to disconnect battery cables EVERY TIME I parked - at home, at work, at the grocery store to keep from being stranded.

Also, thinking that my flashers being on probably caused me to frustrate other drivers when I wasn't able to use blinkers (as the lights were already in use by the flashers).
