Add another complaint about the soft pedal issue. Local Ford Dealer in El Paso diagnosed the problem as a defective Master Cylinder and ABS HCU module and wants $2,176.12 to replace both. Seems strange that two mechanical parts would both fail at the exact same time. Problem occurred at slow speed going over a speed bump. Local mechanic estimates much lower cost, yet undetermined. Other brake issues with this vehicle in the past. Will repair this one and then start looking for a replacement for it, but not a Ford.

Update from Jul 21, 2020: A local repair shop followed the Ford recommendation to replace the master cylinder; however, that did not correct the problem. The shop removed the new MC and reinstalled the original, then they manually bled the system and then used a computer assisted bleeding system which corrected the problem, all for the total cost of $100.00. Will not rely on the Ford dealer in the future. We changing cars and going with a Subaru most likely.
