Edge

We had no idea that others were having this problem, so we did nothing about it. Seems because many others are having the issues we have with lines across the screed, or upside down pictures, or the camera not working at all, Ford would fix the problem, but after taking the car to the dealership, they said our vehicle was not included with the recalls. Imagine that! I guess Ford doesn't care about losing a customer. We have all 3 vehicles that are Ford. Not very happy with them. Was told the cost of a mechanic just looking at it... NO THANKS!

Edge Limited

  • 115,000 miles

This issue has been going on for a long time now. I just now found your website to report it. 9 times out of 10, when I start my Edge and put it in reverse, I get the dreaded “Camera is unavailable. Contact your dealer.” Message. Sometimes, albeit rarely, the camera will come on and everything will be upside down for a few seconds and then go off and give the message. On the off chance the camera does work, the grid lines aren’t there anymore, and we haven’t reset anything to cause them to go away.

Researching this online, seeing how many people have the exact same issue - you would think Ford would do something about it. It certainly seems like a safety hazard to me! This is one of the features I wanted when I selected this car to buy. Frustrating!!!!!

The rearview camera is not available or sometime comes and goes. I cannot depend on it for safely backing up.
