December 2016, my low tire warning started to come on. I would check my tire and air it up. After several times having to do this I bought new tires. I have never had rims and it never occurred to me that they could be the problem. I put new tires on and the problem appeared to go away for a short while. Within a couple of months my job changed and I was not driving the number of miles I was previously and the light rarely came on.

A few months passed and my traveling increased and once again so did the low tire warning light. I finally carried it back to the tire store and they took the tire off and told me it was the 22 inch aluminum alloy wheel that was cracked. They told me it would be $500 to buy another or they could try to get it fixed. So I sent it to get it fixed.

I spent $50.00 and the problem went away for a few months.

Okay so now it is February of 2018 just two months after having this fabulous rim specialist fix my car rim and once again the low tire light is coming on. I'm driving more often because I'm a travel nurse now and that is part of my job. Once again I head to the tire store and once again I'm told it is the same rim that has been causing me trouble for going on two years now.

Once again I go to my local Ford dealership who tells me that the rim is cracked and I have three options. Send it back to the master craftsman who "fixed" it last time; order a 2nd hand one for about $700.00; or 3 order a new one for $1400.00 and buy a new tire. Tom tells me that the fact that I probably hit a bump voids my warranty. So I say, have you driven on a Texas road, street, or county road lately. There is no way I can even drive to town without hitting a bump. I guess the only way you can maintain your warranty is to leave your car in the damned garage. So then he tells me that I just need to calm down and I let him know that I am calm and he has yet to see me upset but trust me he's about too.

Then Mr. Smartypants informs me that because this tire is on the back that the back tire always gets the worst bumps and so I enlighten him the tire had only been on the back since Monday when I had them rotated following an oil change. So then I ask Mr. Smartypants why this one rim why never the other three to which he replies this is the 2nd rim you've had problems with and I make him go and look at the rim with the weld in place directly across from the new fracture in it. Nice try, Mr. Smartypants.

I feel that this rim is defective and should be replaced by the company.

October of 2017 my low tire light starting coming on.... frequently... I wasn't driving much so I would just keep the tire inflated and roll with it. I started a new job not too far from home and the light was coming on almost every day. A nightmare... really... especially since I was driving in all kinds of weather... Going in at work early in the morning and getting off work late almost every night and since I'm a nurse going in on emergencies.

December 2017 I finally get a few hours off and carry my car back to the tire place and they let me know that the rim is once again cracked. I know I didn't hit anything... They tell me that the rim has to be replaced and it will be $500.00. I take this rim back to the Ford house and pitch a screaming fit. All they seem to understand really and they send it to this rim specialist and they fix it. They didn't charge me anything this time..
