5th stall 5/16/2016 turned left onto the I-90 on ramp, hit the gas and at ~40 mph the car shuddered and went into limp home mode. Pulled safely to the shoulder and ran the vehicle health report. The report shows issues with hill assist and safety restraints. (29,359)

Vehicle stalled again. First time October 2015 (filed a complaint). I was traveling on a road at relatively low speed and vehicle just stalled. Restarted quickly, a vehicle should not just stall for no reason, especially a new vehicle.

Car lost power at 60 mph was able to coast to side of road and restart. Same day on interstate going 70 mph same thing but had very little room to pull off. Restarted and once again coming to stop light on rt. 61 was able to coast to side and restart. All this happened within 1to2 hrs. This was on Sunday 5/8/16 mileage on car 4,863. Mon. 5/9/16 took car to sands Ford of pottsville and was told that they could not determine what went wrong and cleared the engine light and to drive car and see if it occurs again. Ford Motor Co. Will not replace anything until they know what causes it to shut down.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Edge. While driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle lost steering and braking ability, but the vehicle was still idling. All the warning indicators illuminated. The contact coasted the vehicle to a parking lot and had it towed. It was diagnosed that the transmission failed and needed replacement. The vehicle was repaired under warranty. I got out of the car in a driveway, was standing with the car door still open when the car started to roll down the driveway. I was knocked down and then stuck under the car door while being dragged down the driveway. I screamed for help and a neighbor heard, ran over just as I approached the street and stopped the car. She said the car showed to be in reverse yet it was turned off and I didn't hear any warning signals. It also didn't start to roll until I was standing out of it on two feet. If I felt it rolling while getting out, I would have still had a foot in the car to hit the break. Besides bruises and muscle pulls, I also experienced a hole in my shoulder which went to the bone while being dragged.

On January 4, 2016 the vehicle entered a safe mode in the middle of traffic. Without notice, while in motion and in the middle of traffic, the vehicle shut down; deployed the emergency brakes; and attempted to dial 911. It nearly caused an accident in the middle of a busy intersection. We promptly took the vehicle to the dealership, where they said the issue could not be replicated. The regional representative at Ford customer service stated that if the issue could not be replicated Ford would not be able to do anything else. The vehicle is brand new, with around 3000 miles. We are concerned about the vehicle and Ford's unwillingness to address the issue.

This report is an update to complaint: 10788647. This vehicle, a 2015 Ford Edge sel with a 3.5L engine, was repaired by a Ford dealership for a stalling/loss of power while driving issue. The dealership had the vehicle from November 5-13, 2015, and reprogramed the PCM in order to correct the stalling condition. Initially, this action seemed to resolve the stalling issue. However, in recent days the gas mileage has dropped about 3 mpg, and on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at 7:25pm the Edge stalled will driving (not accelerating, decelerating, or turning) and the engine quit. The vehicle simple stalled and lost total power while driving. There were no warning or error lights. The only message was "full accessory power active." I had to place the vehicle in park in order to restart, which I was able to do. Fortunately, I was not on a busy roadway when the vehicle stalled. The dealership advised me to bring them the vehicle the next day, December, 23, 2015, and the vehicle has remained in their possession since that time. This issue is dangerous. I live in a major metropolitan area and travel interstates everyday. If it stalls while I am on the interstate, the situation could be disastrous.

While making a right turn engine stalled and accessories are running light warning appeared on instrument cluster. Car had no power and green light on push button start was flashing. Put vehicle in park and it restarted. Appears this is an on going problem.
