The contact owns a 2016 Ford Edge. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 20V469000 (service brakes, service brakes, hydraulic) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The vehicle was taken to robert horne Ford (3400 S tomahawk rd, apache junction, AZ 85119; (855) 429-6080) and it was confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45-50 mph, the brake pedal was depressed and went to the floorboard. The vehicle to the same dealer and the brake line and a master cylinder were replaced. The contact stated that while reversing out of the driveway the brake pedal was depressed and the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed back to the same dealer and another brake line was replaced.
