Edge Titanium Ecoboost

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

This is a 2017 Ford Edge Titanium with a starting mileage of about 30,000 when purchased from a ford dealer as a certified used vehicle

11/2/18 Overheating- Towed to Dealer- Wiring harness and replaced. 12/6/18 picked up (about 34 days in shop). 2/4/19 All warning lights,. Shutdown and will not restart. Towed to dealer- Dealer replaces burned portion of new harness and shorted battery. 2/12/19 Picked up (about 8 days in shop). 2/14/19 Random warning lights- Dropped off at dealer- Retrained computer. 2/16/19 Picked up-(about 2 days in shop). Still has random warning lights. 3/11/19 Locked in vehicle door will not unlock. 3/13/19 Shift lever in park but still running and in gear. After shutting vehicle off it will not start. Towed to a different dealer. 4/9/19 Picked up vehicle-(about 26 days at shop) Brake sensor replaced. 4/18/19, 4/22/19, 4/26/19 Locked in vehicle. Must shut vehicle off then restart to open door. 5/25/19 Vehicle shuts down while accelerating into traffic. 5/30/19 Vehicle shuts down while accelerating into traffic. All power goes out. Vehicle restarts with multiple warning lights and check engine light remaining on. Vehicle was towed to dealership and is still there. 6/4/19 Today I was notified that there were soft codes. I ‘m getting the felling they a just going to clear code and give it back.

In the last six months this vehicle has spent about 70 days and counting in the shop. The mileage is now at 35,200 and I’m on my own at 36.000. What is more worrisome is the number of life threatening events. We have reached out to Ford Customer Service however we are met by what I feel is their useless Customer Service contractor Percepta.
