Mileage does not meet the fuel economy and environment range stated on the window sticker and vehicle description when the car was purchased. My car is a 2017 Ford Edge sel AWD with the twin-scrl 2.0L ecoboost engine and automatic transmission. The window sticker states mpg to be 20 in the city and 27 on the highway and 23 combined city/hwy. Currently the mpg shown in the dashboard is 15 to 16 combined city/hwy which seems to be consistent from the day I purchased the vehicle. I have mentioned this to a Ford car dealer representative and the response is that I have an AWD rather than front wheel drive. I also have a 2015 Ford Edge with the same engine and the mpg falls within and often exceeds the mpg stated on the window sticker. Whether or not the AWD gets less mpg that a fwd gets is not my complaint. My complaint is that the actual mpg for my AWD Ford Edge should be within the range of what the window sticker represents, I.e. 20 city, 27 highway, and 23 overall. I have accumulated approximately 13,000 miles on the vehicle so far with no improvement in mpg. I'm retired and drive conservatively coasting to a stop as often as I can and accelerating in a very modest manner. I also the drive the 2015 Ford Edge in a similar manner but get mpg that meets or exceeds the sticker stated mpg. Otherwise the 2017 Ford Edge runs smoothly from what I can tell. Can I get some consideration for this misrepresentation of mpg from Ford?

When done fueling, gas pump nozzle won't come out of the new easy fill filler pipe at times. It takes a lot of twisting and turning to get the nozzle out.

Raw fuel odor when driving and stopping the car. Fuel leak, starting problems and fuel pump issue. Car was not repaired or replaced upon request, pat milliken Ford refused to work on car even though we were in immediate danger of a catastrophic problem. Pat milliken Ford was not authorized by Ford Motor Company to remove fuel tank and fix fuel pump until they proved there was a problem, even though we took 25 videos over a 3 month period as evidence. For 3 months of payments, insurance and fear of the risk of fire while driving, Ford motor and pat milliken refused to repair the car after more than 5 visits, numerous conversations with Ford motor customer service and pat milliken Ford. The smell of raw gas, and the long grind delayed start existed when car was idle after traveling local streets and highways..

Ford recall 17S16; NHTSA campaign 17V427. The recall letter, dated July 10, 2017 under the signature of michael a. berardi subject: New vehicle demonstration/delivery hold instructs the dealers to not demonstrate or sell affected vehicles until repairs have been made. I purchased this vehicle at bill pierre Ford, seattle, on August 19, 2017 after locating it myself at epic Ford, everett, Washington.. no mention was made of this recall and I found out about it in early October when I changed the mycarfax smart phone app to this VIN number. A. the vehicle should have been flagged by Ford. B. it should not have been sold to me prior to repair. C. I, and my passengers were exposed to possible dangerous circumstances up to death had this torque converter failed and engine power was lost at high speeds. D. I have never received a recall notice from Ford. I worked with bill pierre service department to get this repair done. It took a month to get the parts and get the vehicle repaired. The July 10 letter notes federal law requires the repairs be made before sale with a violation up to $21000. I do not know if this failure was administrative or willful malfeasance, but the exposure to hazardous circumstances is despicable. The Ford.oemdtc. Com site no longer shows 17S16, I have a paper copy.
