I have been fixing my brakes and rotors every 4 months. 3 times my brake line has busted. The first time there was a recall and it was fixed. The second time I almost died had to hop a curb to stop I had my baby in the car with me. Ford apologized and gave me a free extended platinum warranty and fixed the problem. This last time I was pulling out of the pharmacy and my peddle went straight to the floor and I couldn't stop I was luckily in a empty parking lot. I keep having problems with the brakes and loud squealing noises. I stopped going to the dealership because they said I drive alot and need new breaks every 4 months, when I shouldn't need breaks every couple thousand miles. I'm being tooken advantage of. I can't afford to keep getting brakes and rotors. I'm a single mom on disability. I just got new break pads and rotors and calipers a month ago. I brought my truck into a mechanic to clean the break parts because my rims are so dirty and the squealing is so loud and when I come to a complete stop my truck feels hesitant. The mechanic cleaned & greased my pads and calipers and out some red paste said that should help but it didn't. This is absolutely insanity. Something is wrong. This is the 2nd time my passenger seat belt has stopped working and my air bag light is on. I can't afford to take it back to the dealership and pay 100s of dollars. This has been a repeating problem for years with the breaks. 5 years to be exact. And 8 months ago I fixed the seatbelt.

I drove the car to go shopping and when I returned, I could not pull the seat belt out to put it on. I drove home without the belt on. The next day, it worked fine... until I went out again and it locked up on me again. I looked online for recalls and there were some for my type vehicle so called the Ford dealership and was given an appt for almost a week later. They confirmed the part was defective and said it would cost $708. to fix it because my Vin number was not under the recall, yet it is the same issue. They still have my vehicle because they are charging me $99. for diagnostic fees and I can't drive it without my seat belt.

On April 9, 2021 we found the seatbelt buckle would not latch on the rear passenger side. I notified the Ford dealership on Monday, April 12, the service representative scheduled me to bring the Edge in on April 22. On further inspection I found the seatbelt buckle to be broken. I called the dealership the next day and was told to bring it in and leave it to be serviced. The service technician inspected the seatbelt buckle and found it inoperable due to the inner guts of the buckle being broken. A replacement part has been ordered by the dealership. The vehicle has not been in any accidents and this occurred with normal operating conditions. The Edge has approximately 56,000 miles.

This vehicle was involved in an accident when another vehicle crossed its path going the wrong way on a one way street. This Ford Edge struck the Ford F150 broadside at approximately 30+ mph at about a 20 degree angle drivers side hood and fender and windshield broken. The steering wheel air bag did not deploy, and the knee bolster did not deploy fully. This caused serious injuries to the driver.

My children and I were in a collision that was so bad the car was totaled. Sometime in the middle of the collision the driver seat belt and the passager's seat belt behind the driver came unclipped. We were wearing them and the proof is on our chests from the burn. However, if a heavy vehicle had hit us from behind my son and I would have been thrown from the car because of this. My daughter's seat belt (back passager behind front passenger seat) did not unclip. Just the two on the driver's side.
