When traveling below 30 mph, a slight touch of the brake pedal will result in almost locking the tires up and everyone in the car lurching forward in their seats. It is worst when you first start driving the car in the morning and even more if there is high humidity.
I have taken it to a dealership at least 4 times now and they agree that the brakes are highly sensitive, but they can do nothing. Ford has been contacted and they also do not offer any assistance in this matter.
The dealership let me drive two 2019 (year newer) Edge cars and I could not make the car stop with as much force even when I stomped on the brakes. Obviously Ford has fixed the problem in the 2019 version, but will not even attempt to fix my 2018 Edge. I now have 13,000 miles on the car and it still does the same thing. I do not think it will get better on its own. Neither I nor my wife can get acclimated to it enough to keep it from the abrupt jerking that occurs with very slight brake pedal force.
Can I use the Lemon Law to get my money back on this car in Texas?
