My engine lights came on but not the wrench. As soon as that happened my car started running rough. I called my mechanic and got it in a week later. This is when I couldn't believe it, he had told me that my car with only 31,000 miles on it had to get a new engine. It had the eco boost issue and coolant was in my engine. I started researching this issue because I was quoted over $8,000 to fix this. I wrote a report to the National Highway Traffic Administration on August 23, 2024. My number is 11610415. I sent a certified letter to Ford asking why they haven't recalled this but they have done it in the UK and certain models but it is the same engine. I went through this same process for my transmission issue with the flex plate almost a year ago and went without my for nearly a year. I am very disappointed with Ford. I have not heard back from them so I will take action because I can't afford to pay for a car I can't use.

Went into Sound Ford, my local car dealership where I purchased my car, because my check engine light was on. After they diagnosed the problem, they said it was the purge valve, coil and spark plug needing repair. After $2100 the check engine light came on again and I was back at the dealership. The tech took a look at my car again and said that coolant had gotten into the engine block, and I needed a new engine. Even though this was a known issue at FORD with this model and year of vehicle, it was not covered under the recall that FORD did because my car wasn't made under in the plant that was known to have created these issues. So after only 5 years and 80,000 miles I needed to purchase a new engine and basically there was nothing anyone could do for me.

My Son bought his first car on his own and started having to carry antifreeze because it is using a lot. We took it to Ford and was told that antifreeze was leaking into the cylinder and that is why it is using antifreeze.
Did some checking online to see if others are having this problem for 2.0 ecoboost engine and found out that it is a major problem with some of the engines. Checked with Ford and was told that they know about it but will not repair it. Come on it only has 78000 miles on it.

I purchased a new 2018 Ford Edge Titanium and had every service with Ford Service. After the check engine light came on, I had a check engine light, reporting stated a misfire and I had spark plugs replaced. Later, the check engine light came on again and I spent $195.00 to diagnosis and was told that coolant was getting into the cylinders and the engine was beyond repair. The suggested solution was engine replacement for nearly $8,000.00. Ford customer service department said they could not help and had no programs available to help and thanks for the call. I am extremely dissatisfied with Ford for the lack of concern and the inability to fix a know problem that they have with the engine having coolant intrusions into the cylinders.
