problem #2

Nov 012023

Edge Titanium Ecoboost

  • Automatic transmission
  • 93,000 miles

I am a single parent works hard. Think I'm doing the right thing buying a car with 60000 miles. Wrong. I now have a huge boat anchor. I need a new motor. Ford has disconnected me three times and will not give me any options. How can a car with this low of miles have this big of a catastrophic failure. They know it is an issue issued a tsb but no recall this is ridiculous.

Edge SEL 2.0L 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 88,605 miles

Did the test said misfire on cylinder 2 so replaced all four plugs, they were extremely hard to get out. Felt like someone had put them in with a hammer drill. Anyway finally got them changed put new coil pack on cylinder 2 still same reading. Had to start adding coolant almost everyday. This gets expensive. Then looked up on internet as to what the problem could be and low and behold lots of people have the same problem. Ford needs to fix the problem not put a band aid on it. Then need to put new engines in cause a sensor ain't going to solve the problem.
