After every oil change an oil smell is in the car when you have outside air on. No oil has been spilled or can anything leaking been seen. The short term solution is to use a half of a quart of oil less than the manufacturer recommends. Only after taking out the half quart does the sickening oil smell leave. You can smell it in the car as well as outside the car. The car does not use any oil and was purchased new.

DRIVING HOME OVER ORTEGA HWY, the check engine light comes on and I started losing power. Pulled over and popped the hood and there was oil all over the top of the valve cover. some of that oil seeped down into the hole where my spark plug is and thats what caused the misfire. but, while it was still running, I loosened the oil filler cap and there was a ton of blow by. yikes!!! the oil was forced past the valve cover gaskets.{under pressure}, which leads me to believe that my pcv went bad. I did take the pvc assembly off and cleaned it out with good 'ol carb cleaner and it sounded like the ball inside started moving around again. After putting it back on, blow by didn't change. But, I could swear that pcv valve was back in working condition, but now, I hope not. Because that would mean the pcv wasn't the problem. Anyone have any ideas before I go buy a new pcv?
