Apparently the transmission is a common problem with the 2.0 engine/transmission used in these later model Ford Edge's. To bad, this is a really nice vehicle and instead of fixing this problem Ford decided to discontinue the line.

2022 Ford Edge Titanium 2.0 turbo. Transmission shifting didn't feel right after about 66,000 miles and hoped one of several software updates might somehow cure the problem. By December of 2025 and about 67000 it had finally gotten bad enough for the Ford dealership to admit the transmission/torque converter needed to be replaced. I knew prior years up through 2019 had this problem and I had purchased an extended warranty just in case Ford had decided to ignore fixing the transmission/torque converter design, thankfully that covered the expense! Now I wonder how long it will be before the engine fails. American automobile manufacturers should be ashamed for putting out vehicles with crap engines and transmissions....
