Driving on highway, was not raining snowing or hailing and sunroof spontaneously shattered. Did not see any debris and was not driving behind a truck or car that had any loose debris. No obvious sign of impact, the sunshade is intact and was not damaged.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving at 60 MPH, the sunroof exploded. The shade guard was closed at the time of the failure. The contact did not sustain any injuries. The contact veered to the side of the road for a moment. The contact was able to continue driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the sunroof needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then taken to a auto body shop where it was being repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
