This is the second time that I had to replace this switch. The first time was under warranty with approximately 22000 miles on the vehicle. This time, I had to replace this on my own with 56000 miles on the vehicle. There must be a problem with the cruise control switches that keep going bad. The deactivator switch allows you to set your cruise at a consistent speed and when you touch your brake pedal, the switch kicks the cruise off.
