The sudden surge in acceleration in my 2004 Ford Ecape has persisted since 205, however, the local Ford Dealership denie there is a problem. I would like Ford to step up, take responsibiltiy and fix the problem. It is extremely dangerous esp. when driving in very heavy rush hour traffic aroun 25 mph.

Purchased this car from a used car dealer, test drove it and it drove fine, I was even told by the rep that Engine and Transmission was good so okay, I bought it, after pulling out the dealer with the car, it decided to act up. I ended up taking it back and they managed to change 1 Coil that was bad, problem probably stopped for maybe 2 days but went back to acting up...
a month or so later...
Still with the misfires. Mileage is now 113K. Changed all coils, same problem. I reach 40MPH and it stutters. I had someone take out 1 coil and it was covered in Oil. I also changed gaskets, and air filter. Gas economy is bad. lol.
Just now i took the car back to the dealer so they can check it out. Car was bought as is however they were willing to work something out. Let's see what the results are... Sigh.
