About 2 years ago, my car alarm started going off for no reason about once a week. There was no certain time of day. Just at random. Then I noticed if I set the alarm with the key fob the alarm would go off more often. Now I cannot even lock the doors because it will just go off. It does not beep long but it is enough to aggravate neighbors and me. Took the car to a few places and everyone says that it is a bad sensor saying that a door is ajar. We have been told that just the sensors used to be able to be replaced but Ford caught on to that and now you have to buy the whole latch and sensor assembly which about $400 or $500 each. We asked if the sensors could just be bypassed but no can't do that either. From the blogs I have seen regarding this same issue tells me that there is obviously a serious problem here and it is time that Ford Motor Company be willing to do something about it. I can definitely say I am not a happy Ford customer and I do not have any problem telling everyone I know about it.

Alarm keeps going off without any cause. Not related to anything in particular. It is most annoying when it occurs at 4:00AM. Sometimes multiple times daily..

So my FIRST complaint is that my Computer is the WORST. It always says a door is open. The alarm goes off randomly especially late at night so my neighbors think I am the biggest douche. I literally had a parking lot attendant swear at me. He told me that my POS truck wasn't worth stealing so I should cut the wires and let God do me a favor. I was like ok... I'm sorry. The lights flicker like a horror flick and the vanity mirror lights just died.

Alarm continued to randomly go off several times during the middle of the night. Annoying not only myself but family, neighbors, and a host of dogs. I'm sure there was an uptick in the electric bills in out neighborhood due to lights coming on in the area. Fortunately no calls to the police.

If I lock my car with the remote or even on door the alarm system goes off. It's a 2005 Ford Escape. Have read online where a lot of Escapes have this problem. Why doesn't Ford Motor Company do a recall to fix this problem. Paid over $1000 when bought to have coils, ignition BTA MODULE fixed, ignition coil driver circuit failure replaced.

The theft alarm on my 2005 Ford Escape honks randomly in hot weather, when car is locked. This has been going on for at least three years. I use the remote to stop the alarm and pretty much write this off my worry list. I mention the problem now and then when I have oil changes/PM, but it is blown off. Recently the open door light stays on when all doors and hatch are closed. I corrected this problem by turning off the overhead light. So far these are the only problems I have experienced with my Escape.

Yep, so my alarm started going off randomly twice! Didn't hit the panic button, but not sure whats going on. Definitely annoying. Definitely another reason I don't like Ford. My 95 Mitsubishi had less problems. I thought a 05 would be perfect but nope. Adding all this high tech stuff and then having problems. Don't put it on the car then! So annoying

I said that this problem started around 6/12/22., but I have had this problem for atlease 3yrs now. It first started in the spring of 2020. When the alarm started going off at work.
I looked at many different videos on YouTube trying to fix the problem before taking my Ford to the shop, but after trying everything possible I ended up taking it to the Ford Dealer on or about between 64 and 66 and Western in Chicago. I dropped the car off there and had someone drop me off at work. The car was there all day and I got the to the shop to pick it up after 5pm, but was asked could I wait about 30 to 40 more minutes before leaving with the car. My thought was why would you need more time if you really taken out the time to really look at my car, having it there all day. So I stayed and waited as they asked, but as soon as I got back to work the next day the alarm was still going off as no one had ever looked at it in the first place. I wasn't charged any amount which also let me know that know one had even taken the time to attempt to work on my car after leaving it all day. Everyone time is valuable and I would think that someone that represents Ford wouldn't have did this to myself or any other person.
I have been working with companies that have been contracting through Ford since Feb 18, 1992, doing my best transport their vehicles to make sure that the customers get a good looking and safe driven car or truck as if it was on the showroom floors. I am very disappointed with the operation of this Ford Dealership, and very hopeful they have come up to standards.
