Escape V6

The visor clip breaks, and the seat heats your butt up in the middle of summer without prompt, and the alarm has a mind of its own.

Escape LTD V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 55,923 miles

The heat for the seat on the passenger side will randomly turn on when you turn the truck on regardless of whether or not you push the button. The passenger door doesn't even need to be opened for it to turn on and the SUV is designed to "know"whether someone is in the seat because of the airbag. but the heat just goes on. I disconnected the electrical on the seat completeley because I'm scared of it turning on when I'm not in the car or maybe just staying on and causing a fire. I even unbolted the seat and looked for any loose connections, corrosion or severed wires and there are no apparent visible issues with the wiring or connections. I bought a haynes manual hoping to look at the wiring diagrams and see if there was anything that didn't match up but there is NO Diagram for the seat warmers. So I have to take it to ford yet again.
