I'm not sure what is making the grinding sound or where exactly it is coming from. The dealership has checked it and said that they cannot re-create the problem & therefore can't fix it. When I press on the brake to slow down there is a sound that I could only imagine is what a car sounds like when dragging a muffler on the ground but not quite as loud. The brake and gas pedal have never depressed really smoothly but coming from driving a Jeep, I thought that maybe this was a Ford thing that I was simply not used to. The sound and feeling are a definite grinding under the brake pedal area of the vehicle. Other people have heard it while driving in the car with me even and have asked about it. It doesn't happen only in wet weather or after driving on gravel or anything that might identify wet parts or something that could be lodged. Would love to find a solution.
