strut broke

Awful! Exact same issue here, rear wheel well structure totally rusted out... I was not willing to send it to junk since it is still a good car in my opinion. Fortunately my frame was still in good condition and I was able to bolt the auxiliary mounting. Apparently it is fairly common but there is no recall for this.

Escape LTD 3.2L V6

I have the same problem as one of the other complaints. the passenger side rear wheel well is rusted out to hell and both of my rear struts snapped at the exact same time. I cant believe for a moment that ford would put so little reguard forth with their name as to tell someone they should just scrap their car when its less than a decade old. especially if said car was taken care of. my car has less than 63000 miles on it and the engine is solid as hell, but the suspension work is a joke and a half. and the response is tough luck kid. your first brand new car is junk. took me 6.5 years to pay for my car and it lasted for 2.5 after that. really ford?! im so glad i went with your product. it lasted for so long. thanks for nothing.

This is identical to the problem already described. The passenger side rear strut attachment is broken off from the frame. This causes a condition that makes the car undrivable. After taking this to the body shop for an estimate that claim the cost would be $4000 to fix. Also the drivers side strut is starting to show the same condition.
