Wheel bearings wore out. In my 4th year of owning the car, over two consecutive service appointments, they managed to replace all 4 wheel bearings, one of them was replaced twice.

Was somewhat noticeable, the rear bearings made significant noise when they began to fail. Technician took the time to show me the problem and explain it. The units were all replaced and were luckily covered by my extended warranty, minus a deductible of $100.
