Escape XLT 3.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 123,000 miles

This vehicle never spent any time in the north, it's been in the south all of it's life. I would have thought that it was up north but it's just cheap quality metal that rusts very easily. I have noticed it around the fender wells only nowhere else. Found out that this is a common problem with these older Escapes, only thing that can be done is if you cut out the metal and weld in a new piece and paint it.

Yes Sir, I first noticed as well as others a rust spot on the back hatch( right rear corner app 3" x 3", I also noticed rust spots and paint pieces falling off the inside of the doors, I took my vehicle to a local body shop and they estimated me $600.00 to repair the damages.

The vehicle is 2007 and should have this noticeable rusts spots and you can tell will only get worse. I want to know if Ford Canada will have this body work done free of charge to me, I did by the car from KIA in 2010 but have driven a Ford Escape sine 2003 and I did not have this problem with my last one.
