I read about the problem in the 2006, and even thought maybe I remembered the year on my car wrong, but I checked and I have a 2007. It started with the alarm going off at random. I know it wasn't someone messing with it because I would be sitting out to eat and could see the car and it would just go off randomly. Sometimes after 10 minutes, sometimes after 45. Then nothing would happen for weeks and I would think it was gone and then suddenly it was back again. One evening I got into it and lights on the dash would come on. The tires or the brake or the open door. Then they would just go off and not come back on for weeks or it could deb just days. Another evening, the odometer was all zeros, the speedometer didn't work, and the brake light was on. By the next morning when I took it to a mechanic, it was fine. Sometimes the turn indicator is on and then suddenly goes into double time. The door open light can come on randomly, and the doors lock and unlock...sometimes in synch with the door open beep, but sometimes not. Sometimes the interior light comes on. I do think I have figured out it is worse when it is hot. If I park in the sun where it is going to get hot, it almost certainly sets off the alarm and then the beep comes back until I have been driving a bit. If I am idle at a signal, the beep comes and goes. When I am on the highway and it is hot out, it starts off that way but if I can get up to highway speed it stops after a while. So it is clearly related to the heat of the engine. Other than things connected to the electrical/computer, it drives just fine! When I took it to the mechanic, I started off saying I know it isn't possessed, but it is acting like it. He said he read about a similar problem on a mechanic chat board and I found a couple postings that sounded just like this on the 2006 model too. So clearly I am not crazy and my car isn't possessed. But I have no idea how to fix it and my mechanic says it will be expensive. For now I am just tolerating it.

Well I change #2 coil and 20min after I change it and put everything back together it caught fire. Then I change it again, took #4 coil, put it on #2, and put it back together and ran got a new coil for #4 and it was running rough and #2 coil bad again. So I took it to a FORD Dealership and they change #2 coiling and #5 coil and found out it was The computer. Had to wait 7-10 days for it and got it back running OK now. But I think the computer should last lots longer then this. End up costing around ($2300.00)

The car has so many faulty electrical faults in the vehicle. I continuously have been shocked driving the vehicle; it is clear whomever made the cars is stupid. The wiring underneath the seat is on the carpet; with the slightest water damage or if you accidentally spilt a beverage that is a cause of electrocuting you. The wiring on the back window is horrible done the wires drop out all the time. I also researched their parts and many of them are imported from third world countries; which is illegal. They have many of the parts imported cheaply and then charge people extra $ fees for what they have made from underage individuals. Some parts are from Philippines etc.

The computer wasn't the only problem the alternator failed twice, the battery failed, defective power steering line, but in my state the lemon law is week it must occurred within the first year so I guess I'm stuck with this lemon. There are even more problems I would be typing all day so I'll leave it at the ones listed.
