We were going to dinner and heard a pop, next thing the vehicle was running really rough. We were about 5 maybe 6 miles from home when it happened so we turned around and came back home. Husband went to the parts store and bought the stuff to fix it. Just a pain in the ass for sure.

spark plug blew out cylinder head spark plug blew out cylinder head spark plug blew out cylinder head spark plug blew out cylinder head spark plug blew out cylinder head

As I was driving one morning all of a sudden I heard this loud noise. My Escape started making a loud sound and I wasn't able to drive. This was crazy and unheard of because I keep my car maintained on a regular basis and make sure only a licensed shop perform all repairs. As I had my vehicle towed to the shop I was informed that the loud noise wasn't the exhaust that I though, but It was worst and would cost me over $600. Now I'm very pissed.

I was told the spark plug blew out and broke the #2 ignition coil. My first thought was NO WAY. The mechanic stated I may be able to have the hole drilled and install an insert to fit a new spark plug but it may or may not guarantee it's going to hold. Plus they cannot assure they will get all of the metal out but will try their best because if any gets in the cylinder block it can damage the engine even worst. This is unheard of. I was told this is a known problem with Fords. Ford, Please recall this problem or pay the bill.
