- Ford will replace the seat covers if still under warranty (1 reports)
This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Ford dealer.
I believe it is only water stains and the first few times I have been able to clean the seats and after that it has been impossible. The seats look really bad and I have tried upholstery cleaner, vinegar, misc cleaners and nothing has worked. I am really tired of trying to clean seats and nothing happens.

Just started noticing how badly the upholstry stained from even just water on the front seats. It looks terrible, and will destroy the resale value. I do not usually have people riding the back seat but I assume it will do the same thing with time. I am not a fan of seat covers so that option is out. I saw that someone got their's fixed because it was under warranty, I will probably try to do the same.

Ford has recognized there is a problem with staining of the seats in some Escapes. If you have white ringed stains or water marks on your seats, get in to the dealer before your warranty is up. They should replace the covers for you.

Cloth seats stain horribly when any water gets on them. I have had them pro-cleaned once and they still stain just as easy. Looks like brown and white stains. I keep car clean but seats look horrible..need recall on the seats!
