pcm faulty pcm faulty

Running on a sunny day without any problem, I was going back home from work. Then then next morning I try to start the car and nothing works, and I see a RED LOCK light that's flashing in the cluster. I decide to do some research on Google to find out the problem and to my surprise I found out that this is a recurrent issue for Ford Escape owner, PCM BURNED.

I call at Ford dealer, it's $900 for the PCM + $200 for programming + 1 or 2 hours of labors, Total cost is around $1700 including the towing fee. Yes a towing is required, because nothing is working. The services guy at Ford told me that he had many PCM in stock, of course they know the problem, but there is no recall on it. The PCM can cause a fire in your truck. I will write other complaint on this car, i had so many issue in the last 6 months. Please stay away from those Ford Products.
