Escape XLT 3.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission

Oil leaking everywhere on the engine, all seals were due. The car had 120 000Km at that time.

I was on Extended Warranty but the invoice was around $3000-3500 to repair. They need 20 to 24 hours to change all seals.

Took the vehicle in for an oil change at dealership. When I went to pick it up, on the report it said the vehicle had a seep leak. When I asked the Service Consultant about it, he said it was nothing to worry about and when I got home and relaxed for a few days to call them up and schedule an appointment. I refused and made an appointment right then. The next day he called me and said it was nothing to worry about, that the oil filter had not been tightened enough, I had a few other things that needed to be checked out and insisted that he put it in writing that it was nothing to "worry about" a few days after they had my vehicle he said it was the oil pan and they needed to re-seal it. Still pending on other problems.
