The contact owns a 2010 Ford Escape. Immediately after starting the vehicle, the engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The technician diagnosed that the top of the fuel tank rotted out and the evap valve was defective. As a result, both needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 115,000.
