The contact owns a 2010 Ford Escape. While driving at an unknown speed, the air conditioning unit failed to operate properly and blew hot air through the vents. Also, the air conditioning system needed to be recharged. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to West hill Ford where it was diagnosed that the receiver dryer needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact to call NHTSA. The approximate failure mileage was 133,000. The VIN was not provided.

Escape 6-cyl

A/C not cooling, after checked by dealer I was told the complete system was damaged by coming apart from the inside out. Complete A/C and lines replaced. Ok for about 8 weeks, now same problem no A/C and dealer will not stand behind their work, nor will Ford motor. They want me to pay again to have unit checked and they are not even willing to give me a loaner for the 3 days they claim it is going to take them to find the problem. Ford states I have to pay for the check and they are unsure if they will help me pay to the repairs again.
