putting the vehicle in reverse , it suddenly accelerated and went through a car shelter and a 10 by 10 metal shed. stepping on the brake did nothing . turning the ignition off to finally stop this death trap is not a solution . contacted the police to investigate the accident .., then called dealership , and his response was that it was the first time they had heard about such a problem . anybody else have such an experience ??

Pulling out of the driveway, the car surged on its own and I narrowly missed hitting my neighbor walking their dog. This surging of the Ford Escape is getting ridiculous. Someone is going to get really hurt.
