A few months ago I purchased a 2012 Ford Escape, used. In was in really good shape considering the age and mileage, it ran really good. About a month or so ago I started having electrical issues. There was something draining the battery with the vehicle turned off. When it first started, it was only occasionally. Then it got worse and it was every morning I would have to jump it to get started. I put it in the shop (Platinum Auto) and the next day they called to tell me the problem was somewhere in the dash and the battery was bad. The next day they called and told me it was ready. They gave me a 1 year warranty on the battery and a 30 day warranty on the electrical repair. Cost, almost $800.00.

When I was checking it over, I could not find where any work was done on the dash. It was fine for a few days, then it started again. Near the end of the 30 day warranty, I took it back. At first they tried to tell me the warranty had expired. When I showed them that it hadn't they took it back in at no charge. The next day they called to say it was ready. I picked it up and took it. The next day it started fine. After that, almost everyday I still have to jump it in the morning to start. Once I get it started in the morning it is good for the rest of the day. When I called the shop all I get is "Sorry your warranty ran out. Now I have to find someone new to fix it after paying $800.00 for nothing. If anyone is Macomb County Mi., City of Warren I would advise you not to go to this shop located on the corner 10 Mile Rd. and Schoenherr
