The contact owns a 2012 Ford Escape. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V777000 (fuel system, gasoline); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer (flood Ford Lincoln, 21 woodruff ave, narragansett, ri 02882, (401) 515-2700) was contacted and confirmed that the part was not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was not able to confirm when the part was to become available. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
