One night I was leaving work about 2:30am and when I climb into the Escape I noticed the windshield on the inside was frozen...I was in shock! It took about 20 minute to get it to defrost, but it wasn't all the way and I had water running down the windshield while I was driving and when I got home I cleaned it with a paper towel. Went to see Ford and was told it was from the floor board getting wet and that is what caused it.
Well, one day while at work in the early evening I went outside to move my Escape and water was all over the inside windshield...I couldn't believe it and I didn't have my phone on me to take a picture...I cleaned it up and had the window dry and when I went to leave again at 2:30am, my inside windshield was completely frozen solid!! What a mess that was!!
The Freezing inside windshield has happen several times and I've had it to Ford every time and they can't figure it out?? Now they are telling me that the Specialist who has looked at it has had this problem with several vehicles here lately and he has figured its coming from the matting under the carpet and that is what is causing the condensation to get on my windshield, then freezing it when it's cold out...Really?...But my carpet and matting is completely dry??? Well they haven't heard the last of me about it...I've paid too much money for this to be happening and for them not to fix it!!!
