THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER-??S SIDE FRONT DOOR FAILED TO OPERATE AS NEEDED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL SHOWED THAT THE DOOR WAS OPENED WHILE IT WAS SECURELY LOCKED. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO UNLOCK THE DOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO Bob Davidson Ford Lincoln (1845 E Joppa Rd, Baltimore, MD 21234, (888) 349-8092) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE DOOR LATCHES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN INSPECTED UNDER AN UNKNOWN RECALL RELATED TO THE DOOR LATCHES AND THE VEHICLE WAS NO LONGER SUBJECTED TO THE FREE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND CONFIRMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 122,000.
