The contact owns a 2013 Ford Escape. The contact stated that the rear hatch electronic lock failed. The door would not lock electronically and caused the hatch door to lift and crash into the contact's garage door. The vehicle was taken to the body shop but was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 2 and the current mileage was 7,000.
