Can't drive the car with the doors coming open. Used bungee strap to keep door closed, but still have warnings going off everywhere.

This is the 3rd door latch that broke, same problem, cant close door to latch it, it's metal hitting metal when to try to close it. This time it was rear passenger side. I had 2 grandchildren in car seats in back. Ages 5 and 1 year old. Thank goodness my daughter was with me, she had to get in back and hold door shut to get back home. Another very dangerous situation. I have complained to Ford regarding the danger of this and that someone is going to get killed. They admit a problem but refuse to cover the expense unless there is a recall.

Driver door latch sprung open while I was in grocery store. I noticed door was ajar when I came back out to get in my car. When I tried to close the door, it was exactly like first latch that broke a year ago. Metal hitting metal, no way to latch door shut. Had to drive home holding door shut with one hand. VERY DIFFICULT and dangerous, especially while making right hand turns. Had 1 year old grandson in car seat in the back.Very dangerous situation!!

Opened rear passenger door and then closed it, but it would not close. There was no way to latch it, had to tie rope around door handle and secure to other side in order to drive it to dealership. Had 5 year old grandchild in her car seat at the time. This could have been a very serious situation had it broke while driving in Phoenix traffic!!

Randomly happened while I was out, thank God it was not when I was driving but I had to bungee the doors together so it would not open while I was driving.

Despite numerous other broken door latches on other models, because my 30K mile warranty had expired the Ford dealership would not even try to get Ford to cover this. Obviously some sort of defect with the latch as other models have had the exact same problem. The rear driver door would not close at all, it flew open while I was driving down the road. Had to use ratchet strap to hook the door handle to the opposite rear door handle to get it to the dealership.

This was the second door that the locking mechanism failed. Complained about their door latches but they just ignored us. But things were going to get worse.

This was the final straw of repairs on a vehicle less then two years old. This is the third door latch that has broken on three different doors. We are not going to wait for the fourth and fifth door to go bad. It has been into the Ford Dealer seven times in two years. Between recalls and defective parts we are done with FORD, which is sad because I have been a Ford Truck owner for over 40 years and my wife has been a Ford Car buyer for over 20 years. We are trading this piece of sh*t in and buying Chevy!
