Escape SE 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 6,000 miles

Rear lift got stuck between open and close. Ding, ding almost drove me nuts. Took it to the dealer, they fixed it. Said it was improperly adjusted. It happened again in August 2014. Dealer wanted to charge me $125 to have the car cleaned before the "technician" could work on it. "He was suffocating in there due to dogs in my car"! There is a scratch on the rear bumper that they attributed to the car being in a wreck which they felt caused the back hatch to get stuck. Never had an accident. Then they decided to order a new latch. 30 days went by without a word from them. I called....oops they forgot to order the part.

Finally the part arrives, they can't fix it. They told me to go to a body shop. At whose expense?

My boyfriend fixed it!
