Car kept leaking coolant. Took car in and they said it was a coolant sensor which cost over $1200 to fix. A month later, a low coolant light keeps coming back on. I'm putting coolant in once a week. Take the car back in and they say it's a Leaking Heater Hose. Another $600 to fix. In the mean time white smoke is coming out of the tail pipe every time I start the car. They're saying it could be a head gasket. This is ridiculous. Could be another $3000 to fix. Ford is aware of the problem and is doing nothing. There's lawsuits but what if you can't afford to have your car fixed for that much money? And you can't wait for a lawsuit to be settled? What do you do in the mean time?

Kept smelling burning oil so took my car in. After a leak test they found an internal leak in the turbo. Turbo had to be completely replaced.

At 132,000 miles, the engine began throwing a code for Engine Coolant Low and Engine Overheat. After adding a small amount of coolant, enough to fill the overflow container, the light and code would go away. At 154,000 miles the engine has developed an oil leak that seems to become more evident when the code comes up. I always check the oil and coolant levels, and make certain they are correct each day. It has become annoying beyond belief, and Ford says there are no recalls for the issue with my VIN.

Finding the dealership is not very responsive. They took care of the problem. Had the car for 4 days. Had to call the dealership to get updates.

This has been a major recall. 85, 000 cars. Affecting the 1.6 L engine. Fluids are leaking out causing engine fires. This was a manditory recall. Ford told people not drive the vehicle and have the car towed to the dealer. I did not want to drive a 1.6 L anymore did not want to drive this engine car anymore. I wanted to upgrade to a 2.0 which I am. But I have to pay a additional $2000.00 , which I should not have to do this.

This POS escape started leaking oil about a month ago and has been getting worse. Took it into a shop and they said it was the "lower bearing" on the side of the engine. Idk, it's still in the shop but it was another $800 thrown at this sh*tty car.
