Escape Titanium 2.0L I4 Di

Many recalls on my 2013 Ford Escape; disappointed in Ford quality these days. In 2014, there were approx.920,000 Ford vehicles recalls due to steering issues (for 2008 - 2013 model years). My VIN isn't falling into this set of recalls though. I'm hoping others report the steering gear assembly issue. Don't see why the steering gear assembly would be failing this early in the car's life.
