This new escape was picked out by my wife without me going with her. Against better judgement I signed for the car. I figured its her car, what do I care?
Over every little bump there is a popping noise from the rear suspension. Spoke to the dealership, the weren't real sure of the issue. I spoke to an engineer that works on the shocks for FoMoCo, they however are very aware of the noise. They know the ride is to stiff as well.
Its not urgent that it gets fixed, but for the next 3 years it could be annoying enough for me to go insane. Luckily I don't have to drive it every day.

Purchased new 2013 Escape from Frack Jackson Sandy Springs Ford; now Nalley Ford Sandy Springs. Always serviced there for regular oil changes and the recalls. Had 30,000 miles service and since then have heard a popping; clicking, squeaks and creaks noise from the rear of the car and sometimes from the front passenger side. Took to Nalley Ford for repair.
Per Invoice #82629 "Road tested; inspect suspension with chassis ears. Adjust various bolts on control arms adjusted control arms test drive checks normal at this time. Will have some noise over bumps and uneven roads. "
NOW...still have issue on a random basis when going slow - less than 10 mph - usually on an uneven surface; but have also had happen just in a normally paved parking lot. My daughter has a 2006 Honda civic and I don't hear anything when she is driving on similar surfaces.
I am fed up. I have liked my car up until now despite the recalls. The noise is driving me crazy. To think that I purchased a new car and less than 33,500 miles later it sounds like an old clunker. Ford should buy this car back from me if they cannot fix. This is UNACCEPTABLE. Originally, I was trying to decide between Ford Escape and Honda Accord....big mistake to go with the FORD. I am tired of having to take in to dealer. I want to trade, but know that I will lose a bunch of money.
If you have same problem and know how to fix; please contact me.
