problem #2

Escape SE 1.6L Ecoboost

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

I took my vehicle in to have one of the lines in the rear window defroster fixed. They re-glued/sealed the section in the line that was causing a disconnect. Now I have a big blob in the line on the window. The next day, the line two up from the one did not work.....which was fine when I took my vehicle in to them. I mean.....really?

I had hoped to have this vehicle for a number of years. I can't believe the amount of things starting to go wrong....that's not even taking into consideration all the recalls.

The rear window defrost line (4th row up) quit working. The line is in the middle of the line of vision when you look in the rear view mirror. I've had a number of vehicles that I've owned in the past that also have the rear window defrost lines built in and never have had one problem with it. In fact, my son is driving a 1997 Toyota with 175,000 miles and his works with no problems.

I DO NOT expect a car that is barely two years from the date I purchased it new to start having problems like this......especially since I only use the rear window defroster approximately 2-3 months out of the year and not even every day!
