Escape SE 1.6L Ecoboost

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

For the SECOND TIME since I purchased this vehicle, the driver's side window fell down and wouldn't come back up! The last time was in the summer. This time it was 17 with below 0 wind chill and I had 30 more minutes to drive home with it freezing, with blowing wind and snow! I didn't buy an old used car.

I take my vehicle in for all the recommend regular maintenance. Is it TOO MUCH TO ASK to buy a $30,000 vehicle and expect that less than two years down the road that I can roll my window up and down when needed???????

Escape SE 1.6L Ecoboost

  • Automatic transmission
  • 6,000 miles

I would not expect a vehicle, which is only a few months old, to have a driver side window (or any for that matter) roll down that won't roll back up. Luckily it wasn't raining or cold at the time. When I got home, my neighbor pulled up the window with his hands while I depressed the up button so that we could get it back up. I scheduled an appointed to take it in to get it fixed and could not roll the window down in the meantime for fear it would get stuck in the down position again.
