Ford says it is not covered under warranty, someone in some digital decisions group said it shows signs of impact, scratching, nicks, yet dealer agrees with me as to defect. Funny thing is the indention keeps growing in size. I can find no scratches or nicks in my visual inspection and I think my photo shows as much. I only bought a Ford because they didn't take government bail out, perhaps they should have and put it into quality control.
Would love to know if anyone else has had this problem. Odd that a 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty wouldn't cover this. I have a Kia Sportage and Chevy truck, both with over 230,000, and have no such defect in their door panels. Maybe Ford should take some notes. Was told that the warranty decision was made at the "HIGHEST" levels of management yet I was told that there was no name of someone in charge and the person I was talking to was as high as I could go and decision was final. Thanks for nothing Ford!!
