We were having overheating problems and leaking antifreeze so my wife schedule an appointment at Ron Carter in Alvin Tx. To check this overheating problem, they came up with a radiator vent and needed to be repaired so we paid over $1600.00 to be repaired. At the same time we found out about a leaking antifreeze recall, and they supposed to fixed that recall but they did not do it, so the suv keep overheating and now we are getting blue smoke that means needs a new head gasket or new engine.

So I would like to figure out how to deal with Ron Carter and the Ford company to repair my suv.

Please advise.

I took my vehicle for Recall on Coolant. Two days later my dash light came on stating there was a problem with the coolant level. Returned the vehicle to dealer and was told that my vehicle engine was overheating, due to loss of coolant. Ford refused to repair stating the damage was due to normal usage.

Well, have been WITHOUT a car now for over a week... Have contacted FORD but they say there is NO recall on the vehicle. Shows there has NEVER been a recall on it; yet the recalls have been addressed.. It's like you take it in and then they dismiss the recall from the car and it shows NO recall or difficulties at all. Interesting?

Now the car has been put on the computer and it comes up with a code stating that there IS a recall on. The turbo inlet pipe plugging system causing the instant overheating. If you reset it, it will drive for 2-5 minutes and then will need to be reset again... THIS CAR IS MESSED UP!!!!! TOO MANY ISSUES, AND FORD will NOT admit to any problems. Will never buy another one.

Mechanic says to call FORD SERVICE, so I do.. They deny any problems with the vehicle. Am so angry with their BS... this is supposedly very expensive fix! UGH...

Escape Titanium 1.8L

Vehicle has been taken care of and driven with care and yet at 97k miles the head gasket needs to be replaced? It occasionally would stall at idle during auto-start, but no big indications of overheating or issues that would cause this. I had a coolant leak last year and had that fixed but no indications of over-heating. There is a recall for a faulty cooling sensor and that can lead to gasket problems and fires. I feel this is the cause of my issue. I am very disappointed to have this happen in a fairly new (2014) vehicle. Some models were recalled for gasket issue but apparently mine is not one of them. I think Ford did not get this fixed for all vehicles. I will not be getting another one again and will look to vehicles with better warranty protection.

The first engine failed at 6,100 miles, they put new engine in and give me a stinky loaner for about two weeks, boy was it stinky, you know when someone has smoked in a car, smell was awful. This car has now failed again at 14,000 miles. Last night it could barely go up a small hill overheating for the second time this week.

FORD YOU MAKE AWFUL CARS AND YOUR SERVICE AT THE DEALERSHIPS IS THE WORST ON PLANET EARTH!!!!! Whatever you do don't buy a FORD ESCAPE, THEY STINK!!!!! The Ford motor company must be the most inconsiderate people on earth too. The government should have let you fail and never bailed you out, money very not well spent. Don't buy a FORD. Don't Deal with Magarino Ford in Sussex, New Jersey, they will not help you with the problem, they just don't give a crap and they don't pay their bills on time.

Update from Mar 9, 2018: 3/9/2018 Again this escape overheated taken to formerly Magarino ford now neilsen ford well now it has a blown head gasket. This 2014 escape at 23,000 miles What ever you don't by an escape they are no good ford has put out a piece of crap!!!!!

Escape Titanium

  • Automatic transmission
  • 36,000 miles

We have had this Escape just about 1 year. The car has just over 36,000 miles on it, mostly highway driving. The engine began running rough then suddenly last week it overheated three times on a 11 mile trip! We finally got it home only to have to tow it to the Ford Dealership. The vehicle wont even turn over now! Very frustrating for a pretty new vehicle!!!

engine overheating engine overheating engine overheating

Ok, there is no much to say about, the engine overheat since 20.000 Kms, the cooling liquid boils and escapes from the plastic container , in ford repair service in Medellin said that it was repaired three times, and the problem reappears. just after 26.000 kms the problem just looks like it disappears. They said a lot of things about the problem.Transmission overheat, electrical sensors problems, they even told me that it was "my way to drive it!!", it is an automatic car in a city full of semaphores and without freeways with a max speed limit of 60 kms/hour. i did not change "my way to drive it" they just fix the problem I think, but sometimes the dashboard shows a little overheat and I start to get angry and scared thinking that the problem reappear and I have to tow the car again. I want to know if it is a problem of the escape or it is just my car.
